Group project beginning, pre-visualisation and presentation

VFX Blog - Group Project


The groups for the project were set up, a deadline is set the next week in order for the group to create a script, 3D objects, location and action plan for the project, to be presented as a green-lit presentation.


The 3D Objects that were chosen originally were a sword, a turret and a drone. The group divided the work load.


This is the previsualisation of the sword design. A mock up sword for the group was created using a glow on the back of the blade, to retain the futuristic feel that was originally agreed upon.










The group broke the 12 slide presentation into four slides each, and so the slides allocated were the introduction, previsualisation sword, research and inspiration, and health and safety.


After the presentation was completed in class, the group is informed to sort out stronger roles for each other. So that one 3D tracks, one composites and one edits.


Location scouting was next step the group took, and an old roman wall was found:
